Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Centili Group Ltd. (Centili) uses cookies and similar technologies on centiligroup.com, why we use them, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Overview
Centili Group Ltd. (referred to as Centili, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, dashboards and hosted services to keep them secure, to remember your preferences, and—only where you consent—to understand how they are used and to measure the performance of our communications.
We are committed to handling your information transparently and lawfully. Our use of these technologies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR) and, where cookies process personal data, by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is our supervisory authority.
In short: cookies that are strictly necessary for our sites to function are always active, because the law permits them without consent. Every other category—analytics and marketing—is switched off until you give your consent through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Consent and your choices
When you first visit centiligroup.com, you are shown a cookie banner that lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or open “Cookie settings” to make a granular choice for each category. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are set—nothing in the analytics or marketing categories is loaded.
How consent works
- Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under PECR because they are essential to provide a service you have requested. They are always active and cannot be switched off through the banner.
- Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are set onlyafter you give specific, informed and freely given consent. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting them, and there is no detriment to declining.
Storing and renewing your consent
Your choice is recorded in a strictly necessary cookie named centili-cookie-consent so that we can honour your preference and avoid asking again on every page. This consent record is retained for approximately six months, after which the banner will reappear and ask you to confirm your preferences. We also re-ask if we make a material change to the cookies we use.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your mind at any time. Select “Cookie settings” (available from the cookie banner and from the footer of every page) to update your preferences, or clear the centili-cookie-consent cookie in your browser to be asked again. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Categories of cookies we use
The table below describes the categories of cookies and similar technologies we use, the purpose of each, representative examples, and typical durations. Exact names and lifespans can vary as providers update their products; the categories and purposes remain accurate, and your current choices always govern what is actually set.
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary (always active) | Enable core site functions you have requested—security, session integrity, fraud prevention, load balancing and remembering your cookie choice. The site cannot function correctly without these, so they are exempt from consent. | centili-cookie-consent (records your consent choice); session and authentication cookies; load-balancing and routing cookies; CSRF and security tokens (e.g. Cloudflare security cookies). | Session to ~6 months |
| Analytics (consent required) | Help us understand how visitors use our sites—pages viewed, features used, errors encountered—so we can improve them. Data is pseudonymised and aggregated; we do not use it to identify you personally. | First- and third-party analytics cookies that count visits, measure traffic sources, and record interaction events on a pseudonymised basis. | Session to ~13 months |
| Marketing (consent required) | Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and communications—for example, whether a campaign led to a visit or enquiry—so we can report on and improve them. | Campaign-measurement cookies and pixels (e.g. UTM and conversion-attribution identifiers) and email web beacons that register opens and clicks. | Session to ~12 months |
We do not use cookies to build intrusive advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal data. For full detail on the personal data we process and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting and the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which communicate a preference not to be tracked across websites. There is no single industry standard for how these signals must be interpreted. Where it is technically feasible to do so, we honour a recognised DNT or GPC signal by treating it as a request to decline non-essential (analytics and marketing) cookies for your session, in addition to the choices you make through our cookie banner.
Because the banner gives you direct and granular control, we recommend using it to set your preferences explicitly; the GPC/DNT handling operates as an additional safeguard rather than a replacement.
Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to our cookie banner, most web browsers let you view, manage, block and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually configure your browser to warn you before a cookie is stored, to block third-party cookies, or to delete cookies when you close it. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of our sites from working correctly.
The relevant controls are typically found in your browser's settings menu:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Clear browsing data.
- Apple Safari — Settings/Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data / Block all cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
On mobile devices, equivalent controls are available within the browser app's settings. To opt out of analytics and to understand your wider choices, the resources at aboutcookies.org and the ICO's guidance on cookies provide independent, plain-English explanations.
Third-party cookies and sub-processors
Some cookies and similar technologies are set by trusted third parties who provide services to us—such as content delivery, infrastructure security and analytics. These providers act as our processors or sub-processors and are contractually bound to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we specify. The third parties most relevant to cookies and on-site technologies are:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Cloud hosting & infrastructure | EU / UK regions |
| Google Cloud Platform | Cloud infrastructure & analytics processing | EU / UK regions |
| Cloudflare | CDN, DNS & DDoS protection | Global (EU/UK edge) |
| Google Workspace | Business email & document collaboration | EU / UK / US |
| Microsoft Azure | Selected platform services | EU / UK regions |
Each third party operates its own cookies under its own privacy and cookie notices. Where their cookies fall into the analytics or marketing categories, they are loaded only after you consent through our banner. For the complete list of providers, the safeguards applied to any international transfers, and the legal bases for processing, please see our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, in our practices, or in legal or regulatory requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will take additional steps to bring them to your attention—for example, by re-displaying the cookie banner and asking you to confirm your preferences. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
